Discoveries in fields as seemingly disparate as quantum physics, comparative religion, and studies of anomalous human experience are revealing the inner world of the psyche and the external universe to be profoundly interconnected. Although historically held as an axiomatic principle by venerated Eastern thinkers, this relationship is becoming unmistakably clear as a valid reality in Western concerns, and a new science of consciousness is emerging.
Advanced tools now exist for exploring the nature of the human being and our interconnection with other fields beyond the normal perception of reality. From computer analysis to sophisticated forms of biofeedback, we are learning how to expand upon the basic discoveries of neuroscience and bio_energy fields, using a new medicine and a new physics that make use of an intricate structure of energy fields scarcely suspected by scientists. Furthermore, these tools expand upon the basic discoveries of human development, bringing into practice what was once considered only ‘pseudoscience’ and bringing the ‘transpersonal’ into a measurable study where the entire field of mind and spirit unite.
These studies show that the individual is not separate from the whole. As scientists research the brain as well as the total body, the importance of balancing the body’s energies and the importance of the biofields around the body are coming to the fore. To illustrate: a garden of life does not simply grow from seed, bulb, rhizome or cuttings, but from experience, surroundings, and natural conditions. The individual/collective division of the psyche implied by terms like “mind_body” is being seen as too elementary and dualistic, unreflective of the deeper awareness of our biofield’s integration in the unfolding universe. The biofields of our body may be part of the ‘Grail’ in the emerging fields of neomedicine, where the human psyche/world is now being seen as a single, vast interconnected reality acting through extended axiatonal lines of life.
The ongoing study of the body’s many fields is teaching us to understand the regulation of metabolism and our internal nature. Certainly our body has its own specific inner architecture, but it also connects with a larger network of consciousness fields within and without that facilitate us into a greater awareness of Life. As we approach the holistic understanding that we are more than just a body, we discover that we are a network of light within a network of light. And as the network expands, we find the true meaning of the coming of the angels and heavenly hosts associated with the ‘House of Many Mansions’.
