New findings from Israeli archaeologists and anthropologist have finally confirmed the identity of the writers of the Qumran Dead Sea Scrolls (found at Kirbet Qumran) in the Holy Land to be the work of Qumran Covenanters who considered themselves also “Enochian” Jewish writers. This should not be surprising due to the finding of the complete Book of Enoch (Cave 7) as a principal text of the community. The discovery of ancient manuscripts at several locations (Cave 1-7) in 1947 and north of Qumran (Cave 8-10) throws new light upon the dynamic features of language that used sacred or philosophical speech with heavy references to the angelic entities and the coming intervention by the “Sons of Light” (B’nai Or).
A closer look at the Epistles known as “First ” and “Second ” Peter and Jude show that the New Testament writers were influenced by the concepts written in the ancient Enochian texts, which speak of a knowledge of angels and vast cycles of change. In fact, scholars have examined 128 citations which have correlations to the ancient Book of Enoch in the Old and New Testament Canons.
Who was Enoch? Recalling that Enoch, in the Old Testament, “was taken” into heaven to be with God (Genesis 5), it is suggested that it was by initiation that Enoch became identified with ongoing life. In fact, Enoch along with Elijah are the two who were spared death, and were taken into heaven by God.
Some scholars believe that because they did not taste death, they will also return at the time of the return of the Messiah. In fact, Hildegard von Bingen, the German Saint from the 13th Century, indicated in her personal writings that the work of Enoch and Elijah would return to Europe even before the coming of the heavenly hosts.
We are told at the beginning of The Keys of Enoch® that the heavenly Enoch is part of the new consciousness that will be bringing the science and the wisdom of the ancients back to planet Earth. Uniquely, the information mentioned in the ancient Book of Enoch is clearly becoming understood in our day. Specifically, Enoch spoke of the “Watchers” who came to earth and had relations with the daughters of man. This is something akin to what is being reported as the abduction phenomena from outer space. There are also references to the giants who walked the Earth, and today, we are finding evidence in many parts of the world that a race of giants, usually with six fingers and six toes once lived on Earth, further confirming biblical claims. Amazingly, Enoch’s journey to the heavens and his striking insights into what he saw, brings forth a new understanding of the pathways that take us into the House of Many Mansions.
